Ava is now 13 months old, so I was asked to take some shots of her at this cute stage in her life. She is such a happy baby, and thanks to my handy puppet, we got some cute laughs out of her!!

Don’t touch that DSLR!
One of my favorite new blogs to read is by two Calgarian photographers called Two Photogs. They posted a challenge called Don’t Touch that DSLR – basically, take photos without using your DSLR. The timing was perfect, especially because I am in LOVE with an iphone app called Hipstamatic. Which, by the way, I was introduced to from that blog as well (Did I mention I love that blog?) I seriously can’t get enough of this app- you can take a photo of a mundane, regular scene and it makes it look so fun and old. Anyways, here are some recent photos I snapped during a trip to Canmore with some friends. These are all unedited, straight from the iphone.
This one is blurry, but I like it.
And I’ll end with one of my cute cat. Yes, the one I am obsessed with.

Robyn and Chris- Engagement Session
The first engagement session of the year! Robyn and Chris are getting married in July, so we took some photos near Fish Creek Park. They wanted some snow in the images, and we were so lucky to have it still on the ground and really nice weather at the same time!

This little cutie was only 9 days old when we took his photos, he was a Christmas Eve baby! He wasn’t too happy at first but then he settled in and we got some great shots! No matter how many newborns I photograph, it always surprises me just how little they are!
I love his pose in this one! It looks like he is thinking really hard.
Christmas Party!
We kicked off the holiday season with a good ol’ fashioned get together at our house. But this party was a little different.
The image above looks like a regular scene of people just talking and hanging out…but everyone looks a little different… thats because we made it an Ugly Sweater Party! The best part was seeing what people found or made…like this gooder below.
No matter what you do, an ugly sweater just ain’t flattering.
Even baby Liam got in on the sweater action….
Its seems as though I forgot to take a photo of myself, so I’ll have to spare everyone the beauty of my outfit. =) The best part was waking up to find sweaters stashed in my cupboards, the oven and even the bbq outside. Ha ha!
I hope everyone has a merry and relaxing Christmas! I’m taking a couple days off to head out of town so I will be checking emails when I am back.
